MY BACKGROUND
My path to Buck Law.
I grew up on the East Coast and stayed there through college and law school. I double-majored in Political Science and History at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where I also competed as a three-sport athlete in cross-country and track & field. I stayed at UMass for law school, graduating cum laude from UMass Dartmouth School of Law.
During law school I interned across the range — public defender work at the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Boston, corporate counsel in Fall River, bankruptcy at Malcolm & Cisneros, and juvenile court in Bristol County. I also volunteered as a student attorney for the UMass small business clinic. That mix shaped how I think about legal work.
After law school I moved to California and built my career across several firms — Byron & Edwards, Lester & Cantrell, Kinkle Rodiger & Spriggs, and Wagner & Pelayes — handling corporate law, business law, employment law, insurance defense, and personal injury matters. That breadth of experience is what now lets me serve a wide range of small business, tenant, and individual clients at Buck Law.
I started Buck Law to deliver legal services in a different format — focused on small business work, modern engagement structures like limited-scope representation and fractional general counsel, tenant rights, and affordable litigation when needed. I built it around what I'd want as a client.

OFF THE CLOCK
When I'm not lawyering.
I love to surf. When I'm not in the water, I'm probably hiking, running, backpacking, hiking, camping, or off-roading in my Subaru Outback. Beyond that — good wine, tequila, and California burritos.
I'm also a longtime volunteer with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, providing free legal assistance to people in the San Diego community who otherwise couldn't access it. Pro-bono work is a meaningful part of my practice.
